Kingslee D’Silva averaged 13.6 points, 9.3 rebounds, 2.6 steals and 2.6 blocks in three games to help the men’s basketball program capture their first OCAA Provincial title since 1976. Thanks to his stellar performances throughout the tournament, the forward was named Championship MVP.
After being named an OCAA East Division First-Team All-Star, the forward kept rolling in the quarter-finals. In front of a sold-out crowd and against the host team Lambton College, he recorded a double-double of 14 points and 11 rebounds in an 82-65 blow out victory on Friday night. After the Huskies advanced to the finals with a close 79-76 win over Redeemer College, D’Silva had arguable the best game of his career. He led the Huskies with a game-high 20 points, 11 rebounds and three blocks to create a historical moment for the men's basketball program.
