George Brown volleyball travels to Oshawa on Thursday night to pay the Durham Lords a visit.
The men's team (4-4, 6th east) is coming off a win over Loyalist, and will close 2018 with a pair of road games. The Huskies have been an impressive 3-1 at home, and now have the opportunity to show their mettle on the road against the Lords and Fleming Knights to close the semseter.
The trio of Yuspeh Jackman, Perry Kumi and Vivek Mathimakki continue to pace the Huskies through the seasons opening eight games. Role players like Nick Baker-Bell, Arvin Singh and Avery Titus will need to continue grown as well as the second half approaches and playoff positioning comes into focus.
Durham heads into the matchup with a record of 1-6.
The women's team (2-6, 8th east) are looking to get back in the win column, and despite the recent losses have looked much better as of late. Tiana Samuel and Beatriz Vilches continue to establish themselves among the provinces best at the outside hitter position, while Jasmin Walia has been nothing bust steady at the setter position.
Key for the women will be getting off to a quick start, as they have struggled in the opening set and consistently face an uphill battle, an issue they will look to rectify as 2018 winds to a close.
The Lords go into Thursday night a perfect 7-0.
