Thanks to a stellar performance at the OCAA Provincial Championship, three Huskies will be representing George Brown at the Saturday's CCAA National Championship.
Garrick Loewen (La Salle, Ont.), Angelee Weathers (Toronto, Ont.) and Leanne Sanders (Stoufville, Ont.) will all be at Seneca's King Campus on Saturday to race against Canada's best representing the blue and white.
The men's race featuring Loewen will be run at 1:00 p.m., an 8km run on the Oak Ridges Moraine. Loewen qualified via his 13th place finish at the provincial championship, and the first-year Husky has paced the team all season with solid finishes including 12th overall at Centennial, 14th overall at Seneca and a season-best ninth place finish at Seneca.
Both Weathers and Sanders will be competing in the women's race after finishing 18th and 22nd respectively at the OCAA Championship. The women's race gets underway at 12:00 p.m. and is a total of 6km. Weathers boasts finishes of 10th, 23rd and 25th on the season, while Sanders has finished 13th and 22nd.
