Women's Basketball

Ian Morse was named interim head coach of the George Brown Huskies women's basketball program in August 2024. After one season at the helm, he officially had the interim tag removed on March 20, 2025.

A lead assistant with the George Brown Men's Basketball program since 2021, Morse brings over a decade of experience in both U SPORTS and the OCAA to now head the Huskies Women. He started his post-secondary coaching career as an assistant and recruiter with the University of Waterloo in 2013, followed by three seasons as the lead assistant coach for the University of Toronto Women's Basketball team under storied coach Michele Belanger. Morse also has experience in the OBA club system as a former U19 head coach, and is NCCP Level 3 certified.

He has been a lead assistant with the George Brown Men's Basketball program since 2021 and has helped the Huskies to two OCAA silver medals and two CCAA national championship appearances, including a national silver medal performance in 2023-24. In addition to his coaching experience, he also brings a background in student service, having worked in the education sector in tutoring, testing support, and advising.
