Liban Mohamed starred for George Brown men's basketball on day one of the East/West Holiday Classic, combining for 57 points as the Huskies split a pair against Humber and Fanshawe.
Mohamed poured in 25 points on 10-for-22 shooting in a 107-78 loss to the Hawks to open the day, and followed that up with an incredible 32 point, 11 rebounds, five assist performance in a 91-85 win over the Fanshawe Falcons. The 6'4" Toronto native currently leads George Brown in scoring, averaging 15.4 points a night for the 9-1 Huskies who currently sit atop the east division standings.
Point guard Chris Fields also starred for a shorthanded Huskies lineup, scoring a combined 27 points while dishing out eight assists. Robert Ocampo finished with 22 points on 4-for-9 shooting from beyond the arc in the win over Fanshawe.
The Huskies will close the two-day tournament with a matchup against Sheridan at 2 p.m. tomorrow afternoon.
