FIELD SET FOR 2018 OCAA MEN'S SOCCER CHAMPIONSHIP HOSTED BY GEORGE BROWN

The George Brown College men's soccer team will open the OCAA men's soccer championship presented by belairdirect against the Algonquin Thunder.
 
As the central division's third seed, the Huskies go head-to-head with the Thunder at 3:00 p.m. Thursday.
 
All games are hosted at Esther Shiner Stadium.
 
"We're looking forward to hosting a great weekend of soccer here at Esther Shiner," said George Brown College head coach John Williams. "We know the championship weekend is like a new season, so we've spent the last week working hard to ensure we're ready for what will be a great championship."
 
The weekend kicks off with the championship banquet on Wednesday night, where the league all-stars, coach of the year, player of the year, league scoring champion, rookie of the year and more awards are handed out.

The Huskies went 5-1-4 during the regular season, scoring 27 goals and allowing just 11. Filipe Vilela led the province in scoring for a second consecutive season, finishing with 14 goals.
 
Tournament passes for the weekend are $10, while day passes are $5 for adults. Children 12 & under and George Brown students are free.
