Andre Wright-Webley knows how to play the game of soccer and he's extremely interested in a career in the heating, ventilation and air conditioning business.
But put those two aside, and you'll find the 19-year volunteering and working part time.
Twice a week, he works at a place that has meant a great deal to him: the day care centre at Toronto's Columbus Centre.

"I'm helping kids to do homework and just being there in case they need something or want to talk about whatever is on their mind," said Wright-Webley who, after graduating from a nearby high school, took a year off to work at the daycare as an educational assistant.
"It means a great deal to me - to give back.
He's also a learning violinist, but admits to not seeing much of the musical instrument since grade school. He was fascinated with music, went to recitals and his mother bought him a violin years ago.
Wright-Webley, who has a bubbly personality, shelves all that when it's time to play soccer. A serious competitor, he wants to do well and help his team.

This year, his first at George Brown and studying in the popular Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning Program, opened the door to earning a spot on the Huskies Varsity team that competes in the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association.
"It's fun and I'm enjoying it," said the 5-foot-11 athlete who plays the centre back. Position. "It's a time away from school work and volunteering to play a sport that has been part of my life." - DG
