Four George Brown College soccer players had impressive seasons and have been recognized by the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association.
Kayla Crnic, a midfielder and rookie at George Brown, along with second year defender Rana Abdel Aziz were chosen to the Women's All-star squad. On the Men's side, Marti Mayrhofer-Lima and Milad Kahani were selected.
Crnic, a graduate of Queen's University and in the George Brown Sport and Event Marketing Program, was a member of two Canadian gold medal soccer championship teams at Queen's.
For George Brown, Crnic had three goals in seven games – including a game-winner.
Aziz was on the George Brown Dean's List last year after academic success in the American Sign Language – English Interpreter Program. She was also the College's 2014 winner of the Michael "Pinball" Clemons Fair Play Award.
Kahani was a second year goaltender while Mayrhofer-Lima was a defender.
Both George Brown teams missed the post-season round. George Brown's Women's team finished with a 2-5-1 record this season and in seventh place in the nine-team OCAA East Division. The Huskies Men's team finished in last place of the OCAA East Division with a 0-4-3 season record.
