George Brown volleyball will play their final home game of 2018 on Saturday when they host Loyalist at St. James.
The men's team (3-4, 7th east) is coming off a road loss to Georgian, and they are looking to even their record at .500 on home court. The Huskies have been among Ontario's most potent teams at the net, as they currently rank tops in the OCAA in total attacks (770), fifth in points (331) and fifth in kills (251). If they can shore up the unforced errors (154, 1st in the OCAA) they could be a dangerous second-half team.
Vivek Mathimakki, Yuseph Jackman, Pradeep Bhogal and Perry Kumi have led the attack, all working their way into larger roles as the season progresses.
The Lancers head into the matchup with a record of 0-7.
The women's team (2-5, 8th east) are looking to get back in the win column, having cooled down after a hot start to the year. The duo of Tiana Samuel and Beatriz Vilches have paced the way offensively, combining to average over six points and five kills per set as a lethal duo at the outside hitter position.
Ashley Lau, Jessica Barrios and Jasmin Walia continue to play outsized roles as well.
Loyalist is 3-4 on the season.
