George Brown volleyball heads to Barrie on Wednesday night for an always-tough matchup with the Georgian Grizzlies.

The men's team (3-3, 6th east) are looking to make it consecutive road wins after taking a five-setter over Centennial on Saturday. Reigning Huskies Athlete of the Week Vivek Mathimakki paced the Huskies with a 14 point, 11 kill performance as he continues to grow into an elite outside hitter.

Alongside Mathimakki, Yuspeh Jackman, Perry Kumi, Avery Titus and Nick Baker-Bell continue to play critical roles in the Huskies attack. Setter Pradeep Bhogal has been efficient setting them up, as he ranks eleventh in the OCAA with 151 assists on the season.

The Grizzlies head into the matchup with a record of 5-1.

The women's team (2-4, 7th east) are looking to get back in the win column. After a perfect 2-0 start to the season, George Brown has dropped four straight and they are currently battling the Grizzlies for playoff position. 

Veteran Tiana Samuel, alongside newcomers Beatriz Vilches, Ashley Lau and Jessica Barrios have led the way all season for George Brown. As they continue to get more settled into playing together, George Brown looks set to seriously compete for a playoff spot for the first time in years.
