2025–26 NOMINEES: MALE ROOKIE OF THE YEAR

The department will highlight the nominees for the Huskies’ major awards, Team of the Year, Coach of the Year, Female Rookie of the Year, Male Rookie of the Year, Female Athlete of the Year, and Male Athlete of the Year, during the week leading up to the 56th Annual George Brown Athletic Awards on Friday, March 27. Here are the nominees for the 2025–26 Male Rookie of the Year

Massimo Di Pinto, Soccer
Right from the start, the first-year winger was relied upon to make an impact. He did just that, playing in seven matches (six starts) and scoring two goals, which ranked third on the team.

Markus Fracasso, Soccer
Fracasso did not look out of place in his first OCAA season and was arguably one of the best players in the province. As a first-year player, he earned three major honours: OCAA East Division Rookie of the Year, East Division First-Team All-Star, and East Division All-Rookie Team. The midfielder was dynamic and consistently dangerous in possession, finishing fourth in the OCAA in assists (5) and in the top 15 in goals (5) and points (15).
