The men's soccer team dropped a close 1-0 match to the Seneca Sting on the road in their season opener on Friday (Sept. 5) night.
HOW IT HAPPENED: It was a chess match between the two Toronto rivals throughout the match. The Huskies' best chance in the opening half came from Taariq Ali, who got by a defender on the left-hand side of the box and struck the post square on. The score remained 0-0 at the half.
The second half was more of the same, with each team generating quality chances. But for the Huskies, the Sting found the back of the net in the final minute of extra time to secure the three points.
Goalkeeper Joseph Agostino was solid in net, making four saves.
UP NEXT: The Huskies (0-1) are back at it on Wednesday (Sept. 10) night when they head to Oshawa to battle the Lords (0-1). Kickoff is scheduled for 8 p.m.
