HUSKIES CELEBRATE SEASON AT 56TH ANNUAL ATHLETIC AWARDS

HUSKIES CELEBRATE SEASON AT 56TH ANNUAL ATHLETIC AWARDS

The George Brown Huskies closed the chapter on the 2025-26 season Friday night (March 27), hosting the 56th Annual Athletic Awards at the Young People's Theatre. The evening celebrated the pack's standout accomplishments from the season.

Men's soccer defender Mark Do Coito and women's basketball guard Jayme Foreman were named Female and Male Athletes of the Year, respectively. It marked the second straight time Do Coito took home this award.

In his final collegiate season, Do Coito delivered another spectacular campaign. The defender finished second in the league in goals (16) and points (32). He also made history, finishing top three all-time in OCAA goals (43), setting the George Brown Huskies’ all-time record and surpassing the previous mark of 39 set by Noel Ellerton. He was named OCAA East Division Defensive Player of the Year for the third time and earned East Division First-Team All-Star honours for the fourth time in five seasons.

Forme was one of the top scorers in the OCAA ranking second in the conference in points per game (18.7) and proved to be one of the best shooters, ranking first in free throw percentage (88.9%), fourth in three-point percentage (34.6%), and 13th in field goal percentage (41.8%). The 5'9 guard was named an OCAA East Division First-Team All-Star, the first Husky to earn the honour since 2020. She also put up impressive stats in the classroom, earning CCAA All-Academic honours.
