HUSKIES FALL TO DURHAM

The George Brown Huskies dropped an 84–70 decision to the Durham Lords on Saturday (Nov. 15) afternoon at home.

HOW IT HAPPENED: The opening 10 minutes were like a track meet, with both sides flying up and down the court. Derrick Taylor put up six points in the frame as the Huskies trailed just 18–16 heading into the second quarter. The defending OCAA champions went to another gear, outscoring the Huskies 28–18 to take a 44–36 lead into halftime.

The Huskies got within five points early in the third quarter but couldn't get any closer for the rest of the game.

UP NEXT: The Huskies (1–4) next game is at home on Saturday (Nov. 22) night against the Algonquin Wolves (1–5). All the action starts at 8 pm.
