The George Brown Huskies fell 91–74 to the Algonquin Wolves on the road on Saturday (Jan. 17) night.
HOW IT HAPPENED: The Wolves were extremely effective offensively in the opening 10 minutes, shooting 52 percent from the field compared to the Huskies' 33.3 percent, giving them a 26–16 advantage after the first quarter. George Brown bounced back offensively in the second quarter but still trailed 46–37 at the half.
Algonquin then pulled away in the third, scoring 25 points on 50 percent shooting to extend the lead to 71–53, and they didn't look back.
NOTABLE STATS: Kalyem Liburd-Mullings had his best game as a Husky this season, posting 15 points and seven assists, while Iffy Chiekwe added 11 points in the loss.
UP NEXT: The Huskies (3–8) wrap up their road trip in the nation's capital against the La Cité Coyotes (0–10) on Sunday (Jan. 18) afternoon. Tip-off is scheduled for 3pm.
