The George Brown Huskies dropped a close 74–66 game to the Centennial Colts on the road Friday (Oct. 31 night).
HOW IT HAPPENED: The first quarter was a back-and-forth affair, with the Huskies leading 20–18 after one. After shooting 58% in the opening quarter, the offense slowed to 26% in the second, resulting in a 35–31 halftime deficit.
The cold spell continued for the Huskies in the third quarter, as they managed just three field goals and trailed 56–44 heading into the fourth. Unfortunately, the gap was too much to overcome.
NOTABLE STATS: Iffy Chiekwe was a consistent offensive threat, going 5-for-11 from the field for a team-high 16 points, while adding six rebounds and a steal.
Tyrese Drummond-Golden added 10 points, while Derrick Taylor filled the stat sheet with eight points, nine rebounds, a steal, and a block.
