HUSKIES EDGED OUT BY ALGONQUIN

The George Brown Huskies' five-game win streak ended with a 2-1 loss to the Algonquin Wolves on Saturday (Oct. 11) afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED: The first half was tightly contested until Daniel Parisotto broke the deadlock in the 40th minute with a header off a corner kick.
In the second half, Alix Bliss scored twice — in the 55th and 85th minutes — to give Algonquin the win.

UP NEXT: The Huskies finish fifth in the East Division with a 5-5 record and will travel to Oakville, Ont., to face the Sheridan Bruins in the first round of the playoffs on Wednesday (Oct. 15) at 3 p.m.
