TRIO OF HUSKIES TAKE HOME OCAA HARDWARE

Three Huskies in Markus Fracasso, Mark Do Coito, and Marsel Ismaili earned OCAA honours for their outstanding play during the 2025 outdoor soccer season.

Fracasso did not look out of place in his first OCAA season, earning OCAA East Division Rookie of the Year award, East Division First Team All-Star honours and part of the East Division All-Rookie Team. The midfielder was dynamic and consistently dangerous in possession, finishing fourth in the OCAA in assists (5) and top 15 in goals (5) and points (15). The last time a Husky earned this award was in 2023, when Matthias Broomes was honoured.

In his final collegiate season, Do Coito was once again spectacular. He was named OCAA East Division Defensive Player of the Year for the third time in his career, as well as an OCAA East Division First Team All-Star for the fourth time in five seasons with the Huskies. The defender finished the year ranked second in the league in goals (16) and points (32). Do Coito also made history in his final campaign, finishing top three all-time in OCAA goals (43), now standing as the George Brown Huskies’ all-time record, surpassing the previous mark of 39 set by Noel Ellerton.

Ismaili was an anchor for the Huskies in the midfield all season long. His effort did not go unnoticed, as he was named an OCAA East Division Second Team All-Star, marking the first OCAA honour of his career. Throughout the year, he served as one of the team’s key veterans, providing leadership and consistency on the defensive side while also contributing offensively. He tallied a career-high two goals in nine matches, starting in eight of them.
