The George Brown Huskies couldn't dig themselves out of an early hole, falling 71-59 to the Seneca Sting at home on Wednesday (Feb. 11) night.
HOW IT HAPPENED: The Sting came out firing, scoring the game's first 17 points. They carried that momentum into halftime, leading 49-27.
The Huskies started to get back on track thanks to Emmanuela Nwokorie, who recorded nine points and five rebounds to help cut the deficit to 59-46. Unfortunately, the team couldn't complete the comeback.
NOTABLE STATS: Nwokorie had a career night, recording 19 points and 13 rebounds, including five offensive boards, along with three steals. Jayme Foreman posted 14 points, five rebounds and four steals in the loss.
UP NEXT: The Huskies (6-7) wrap up their regular season on the road against the Durham Lords (13-4) on Friday (Feb. 13) night. Game time is 6pm.
