The George Brown Huskies dropped a 71–47 decision to the Loyalist Lancers at home on Saturday (Jan. 25) afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED: The Lancers came out swinging, opening the game on a 15–5 run and maintaining that advantage to lead 27–16 after 10 minutes. The top team in the East kept its foot on the gas, scoring 20 points while holding the Huskies to just three baskets in the second quarter. The halftime score was 47–26, and the Lancers didn't look back.
NOTABLE STATS: Jayme Foreman dropped a team-high 13 points while grabbing five rebounds. Jordyn Dawkins narrowly missed a double-double with eight points, nine rebounds, and a block.
UP NEXT: The Huskies (3–6) are back in action on Friday (Jan. 30) night as they travel to battle the Georgian Grizzlies (6–5). Tip-off is scheduled for 6pm.
