Dejazmatch James (Men's Basketball)
James led the Huskies to their fifth straight win on Saturday, scoring a season-high 29 points in an 86-67 road victory over Canadore. The 6'1" fifth-year combo guard got to the rim at will, converting 12-of-14 free throw attempts while bullying Panthers defenders down low. He has now scored at least 16 points in three consecutive games while taking on a leadership role for the perfect Huskies. James also nabbed a team-high eight rebounds this weekend, and he will look to carry the momentum into a big game Wednesday at home against Centennial.
Kristan Luong (Women's Volleyball)
Luong impressed in her Huskies season debut on Friday, racking up a team-best five assists, six digs and a pair of service aces against Georgian. The 5'7" third-year Toronto native provides George Brown with size at the outside hitter position, and her versatility will serve a young squad well throughout the year. The Huskies will hit the road this week for a pair of contests, visiting Seneca on Wednesday and Canadore on Saturday.
