DEJAZMATCH JAMES POURS IN 29 POINTS AS HUSKIES EARN FIFTH STRAIGHT WIN

George Brown men's basketball ran their record to a perfect 5-0 on Saturday afternoon, defeating Canadore 86-67 in North Bay.

Shooting guard Dejazmatch James led the way, scoring a game-high 29 points on 7-for-14 shooting from the field, including 3-for-4 from beyond the arc. James has now scored at least 16 points in three straight games, and the fifth-year Toronto native is again establishing himself among the provinces most physical, versatile guards – he went to the line 14 times against Canadore, converting 12 attempts.

The point guard duo of Chris Fields and Teshayn Gayle were again solid, combining for 16 points on an efficient 50% from the floor and adding five assists. Adam Costanzo finished his afternoon with 14 points and a team-high eight boards.

The Huskies dominated the glass, collecting 55 boards en route to a plus-sixteen differential on the day. As they have all year, George Brown got out in transition and made the Panthers pay, scoring 26 points off of turnovers – the Huskies are now one of two remaining undefeated teams in the eastern division.

Next up the Huskies will play host to Centennial on Wednesday; George Brown basketball will be celebrating Heritage Night, outfitted in retro jerseys from the 1974-75 national championship winning season. Follow @GBC_Huskies for updates throughout the game.
