KINGSTON - Another game, different location, but it was the same story for the George Brown College men's basketball team.
The Huskies won again, improving their Ontario Colleges Athletic Association record to 12-3, with an explosive final quarter show that led to an 87-69 win over the host St. Lawrence Vikings.
Trailing 21-11 after the opening quarter, rallying to tie the game at 39-39 at halftime, then falling behind again 60-57 with one quarter to play, George Brown out-scored St. Lawrence 30-9 in the final 15 minutes.
Vadim Halimov, now No. 2 in the OCAA in all-time scoring had a 31-point game - 26 in the final half. He needs 132 points and has five league games left in his OCAA career to eclipse the lead held by former Durham College student, Anthony Batchelor.
Dejazmatch James added 14 points for George Brown while Ricardo Brown and Dennis Johnson each had 10. The Huskies had a huge edge in points off turnovers (22-5) and points off the bench (22-7).
Last time these two teams met, George Brown won 60-55 in Toronto.
