Gosal just might be one of the most active Canadian politicians on social media pushing for people to be involved in exercise and physical activity.

For those who may not know of Gosal, he's the federal Member of Parliament for Bramalea-Gore-Malton and also the one making the big plays for Canada's on-going commitment to keep athletes at the top of the international sports podium.

The gala event will be held at the Toronto Marriott Eaton Centre hotel with about 300 people scheduled to attend the year-end event and the final one for many graduating students.

Gosal, one who is fairly enthusiastic about sport, has a fairly good understanding of everything from cricket and field hockey to badminton and swimming. His favorite sport: soccer.

Maybe because he grew up playing it in India and when he immigrated to Canada in 1981, he had played through university and obtained certification to coach. Gosal has also played in Toronto's highly competitive Italian Soccer League.
